I decided to start this blog as there is far too much serious stuff going on in everyday life and the entire planet. Here you will find pure frivolity, it is a time to take a break from the seriousness of the world.

This blog is intended for pure fun, where we can enjoy the fashion industry and the latest trends which,  quite frankly, can sometimes be seriously hideous!

Of course, there are also a barrage of fantastic fashions too which I hope to cover. Please do feel free to comment on what your favourite or least favoured trends are in the comments section too. I would love to hear your opinions on fashion.

As you will find out as the blog evolves, my motto in life is More is More! We all have our own styles, but mine is one where I can never be too OTT. As much as I love her handbags, Coco Chanel would probably despise my style!

Which reminds me that I must tell you that I recently watched the amazing movie, Coco Before Chanel, a requisite for every fashion aficionado! It is such a moving story and one which made me think I really must go out and buy a Chanel handbag. I digress! You see it didn't take me long before a Chanel 2.55 handbag invaded my thoughts!

Hmmm, as I was saying, everyone of us is individual and we all have our own style. I just feel that if someone is in their 40s or 50s and wants pink hair, who cares! Let them have fun with fashion. Which is really what this blog is all about. Lets all loosen up and live a little and have our own sense of style. Except maybe when it comes to those Willy Wonka style sunglasses - see next post!

So my mission with this blog is for all my darling readers to enjoy fashion, have some fun and escape the harsh realities of the world for five minutes... As for me a massive book deal would be nice so that I can make lots of money to buy a Chanel bag. Hahaha! Just kidding.

Sunglasses

Today a great friend asked me what sunglasses are bang on trend for this season. I have to be honest, while my adage is definitely MORE IS MORE, I am not sure I can agree for this seasons sunglasses. 

O...M.....G... did you see the latest Willy Wonka style ones?? These sunglasses are just shockkkkkking. Do you really think that we are going to look back one day and say, yeah, I really suited those, I looked soooo freaking fabulous?? No way!

So, as sunglasses are a mandatory staple for every fashionista this is my advice -  choosing sunglasses is simple. Go with what suits you, not with the latest trend. You will know the ones that are right for you straight away. Sunglasses are like a wedding dress, (or jeans!), you can try on as many as you want but you will just know when you have found the right sunglasses. 

Of course, you want to keep up with certain trends, think Victoria Beckham style aviators, blah blah, but don't go with anything too crazy unless you have an overall way out style. Yes, fashion is so much fun, but you don't want to look back on your holiday snaps in five years time and think that you looked like an extra in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  ;-)

So, for todays fashion mission, try out some new shades. Be open to ideas, try on as many as you can without driving the sales people nuts, and walk out of the store like a film star - but pleeeease, just not one from a kids movie!
